OK—maybe it doesn't look like actual cheese, but this design center in France (dubbed "
The Orange Cube") looks like the type of cheese that
cartoon mice dream about and weirdos in Wisconsin
wear on their heads. In reality, the building was designed by
Jakob + Macfarlane Architects to revitalize the harbor districtin the city of Lyon. There's a bunch of architectural jibbajabba explaining why the holes, geometric patterns and color were chosen (light and airflow, the movement of the river, and a historical paint used in harbors, respectively), but all I see is cheese.
